VENT SPACE

Instructions

  1. Get a piece of scrap paper or open up a blank document on a chromebook

  2. Write down whatever thoughts are in your head, write about whoever you are frustrated with, write a letter you would never send, or write about a conversation you are afraid to have. What emotions are you feeling, what’s going on?

  3. Remind students that this writing is not going to be collected or seen by anyone besides them, so it is safe to just vent.

  4. To protect confidentiality, do not monitor chromebooks if students are working digitally. Students can keep their writing or shred/recycle it when they are done.

Modifications

* Use the same type of prompt, but encourage students to draw or doodle about an emotion
