When the type of product students create to demonstrate their learning is not dictated by the performance indicators you are assessing, consider the following list of options:

• Perform a puppet show 

• Make a magazine

• Invent a dance

• Create a show (reality TV, game show, etc.) 

• Write a picture book

• Assemble a Pinterest board 

• Launch a website 

• Fill an artifact box 

• Assemble a time capsule 

• Create a news report 

• Create a scavenger hunt 

• Make a documentary 

• Create a mini-museum or exhibit 

• Design a board game or video game 

• Make a scrapbook 

• Create a piece of artwork 

• Make an instructional video 

• Make an interactive notebook 

Note: Do not give students this entire list at once. You might need to teach them what some of these options are and how to create them, so limit the choices students have to 2-5 at a time.
