Instructions

Select an image to show to students

Tell the students how much time they will have to view the image, and that when time is up they will have to list as many details about the image as they can

Display the image for a limited amount of time and then hide/cover it

Have students make a list of everything they remember about the image
-
Show the image again so that students can self-check their list
Modifications
* Give examples of observable details
*Add specific questions about the image for students to answer
* Have students find images for each other to view in pairs - they can even generate questions for their partner
*Vary the complexity of the image or the amount of time students have to view the image
